October 2008

  • Christ In Spanish

  • Spanish, Was Being Spoken, No English, the music was at it’s daily loudness, coming from the Bottled Water Vender’s Truck as it headed down the street. A daily sacred ritual gladly bowing to all, that will allow his water to be introduced on a discount basis.

  • The Daily Entourage Of Venders, their different sounds of identification with music, whistles, and yes, even those who walk the subdivision streets, calling out to all, their area of expertise, shoe repair, pest and rodents sprays, window and door insulation, ah… yes, we cannot neglect the door to door salesmen and ladies, hawking their goods, books, tv cable, telephone, Internet installation, restaurant specials, pizzas, hamburgers, all at new places close to here, the pick up trucks loaded with new furniture of all types, on and on.

  • Then There Will Be Those asking for money, for their car’s problem, from having no gas, to a dire crisis, a dying grand mother. It’s a daily occurrence, it’s part of the "Vida" (life).

  • Oh..Have I failed To Mentioned, there is the "Mexican Mariachi Music," coming from somewhere, for all to listen. This music I’m beginning to enjoy more and more.

  • It Was A Picture Perfect Saturday morning, and, as  the world wide, renowned international custom was observed…you don’t remember? eh.. The washing of one’s car, music in the background, why of course, it’s a Saturday morning!

  • I Labored On The Car, in it’s un-regulated rite of passage of sorts, there is this special way in which one needs to mix the soap, not to much, for it will hampered the rinsing process. That application of rinse, so precise, in as much, it needs to match the current air temperature.

  • I was doing this, when the Water Truck stopped by my car, the driver indicated he wanted to talk with me. I walked over to his truck, I had seen him many times.

  • He Had Lived In The States for a short time, his English speaking language, is what we call speaking in Mex.-Tex. a little English and mostly Spanish mix.

  • I Began Talking To Him In Spanish, When He Asked Why I was here, that was all I needed, that was my introduction, then is when I asked him if he was a Christian? he hesitated, the eyes lowered, I asked if he loved "Jesus?"

  • Oh yes, yes, he said quickly, I asked again, if he went to Jesus’s house? The place were other people go who love Jesus. Again, he hesitated. I asked if he knew that Jesus died on the Cross for his sin’s, si, si.

  • Again, I asked, why he doesn’t go to the place where other people  who love Jesus, come together. He explained how busy he is. I asked again, if he was a Christian? I explained that as he now drives his water truck through streets, knocking on doors…so we to have to go and knock on Jesus’s Door, asking Jesus into our mind and heart, we have to repent, turn and change from our sins and believe the Bible.  His brown eyes shone hope as he said "gracious senior." He indicated he would.

  • It Was The Beginning Of A Great Day For Me This October Morning in 2008,  Sharing Jesus With The People In Spanish Totally.

And…. You Might Be Wondering how the wash job turn out on the Car, it to was a shinning success.
