Who is Your Father?

Who Is Your Father ?

Unbeknownst to many around the world, every person is under the spiritual control of either the devil or God. I know this is a shocking thought to many of you, as it was to me when I first learned this.

In the Protestant Christian Bible New Testament, Jesus says three times that Satan (the devil) is “the prince of this world”, (earth).

The explanation for Jesus’ statement goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden and the Creation Story in the Book of Genesis in the Protestant Christian Bible Old Testament.

Adam and Eve were the first people created by God, who provided everything for them in the beautiful Garden of Eden. God intended for mankind to live eternally on earth, in perfect harmony with Him, with God being their Father and Provider.

In the beginning there was no Sin or Sickness.

God gave them only one commandment, and that was NOT to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that was in the garden.

Adam and Eve  did not know what evil was, for they were innocent.

But then Satan came and tempted Eve to eat the fruit of that tree, telling her that if they ate it, they would be like gods, knowing GOOD and EVIL.

God the Father didn’t want them to know evil.

God loves all people, and never intended for men to live in sin and sickness.

But Eve listened to the devil (Satan), and disobeyed God, and  Adam joined her in eating of the fruit of that forbidden tree.

Immediately their lives changed, because they now knew GOOD and EVIL!

Their disobedience was sin, and became known as Original Sin,

for it was the first sin ever committed.

They had rebelled against God, and chose to listen to Satan, who now became ruler over them and their posterity.

The sin nature, that came from that Original sin, was passed on to their children, and to everyone who has been born since then.

Satan,  who was once a beautiful archangel in heaven , along with other angelic beings who followed him, wanted to be worshipped as God, and because of their rebellion they were driven out of heaven.

Ever since then, Satan has tried in myriad ways to get people to worship him instead of God.

Satan is known by many names: the tempter, the great dragon, the accuser, the god of this age, the prince of the power of  the air, old serpent, thief, deceiver, evil one, the adversary.

The devil is spoken about by Jesus in the Protestant Christian Bible New Testament:
John 8:44 KJV – Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Jesus says the  devil is a murderer and a liar.

Jesus was speaking to the religious leaders of His day, who refused to believe that He was The Son of God, the Promised Messiah, The Savior of the world. Jesus was saying that since they did not believe Him who was God the Son, co-equal with God the Father, then they were actually listening to the lies of Satan , the devil.

Therefore the devil was their father, instead of God.

We are all God’s creation,

only those who are spiritually born again are God’s children!

God the father

Galatians 4:6 KJV – And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

The following is an excerpt from Vol. Four of the Fundamentals by R.A. Torrey, this particular article written by Mrs. Jessie Penn-Lewis:

“The whole world lieth in the evil one,” declares the Apostle John, but it is of the supremest importance to the prince of this world that those who dwell in his realm should not know it. To keep men ignorant of their position he blinds their minds! “The god of this world hath blinded the minds (margin: thoughts) of the unbelieving, that the light of the Gospel… should not dawn upon them” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

The adversary dreads the light of God, for light reveals things as they are, both in the natural and in the spiritual world. “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).

The truth about the love of God to men, of men as sinners needing a Saviour, and of God’s gift of a perfect Saviour when really apprehended by the soul, must set free, and so the adversary hides the truth from his captives.

They are kept “darkened in their understanding” and are thus “alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them” (Ephesians 4:18).

The following verses are from the Protestant Christian Bible New Testament:

Romans 1:18 NIV – The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
Romans 1:19 NIV – since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
Romans 1:20 NIV – For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Romans 1:21 NIV – For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Romans 1:22 NIV – Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
Romans 1:23 NIV – and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
Romans 1:24 NIV – Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
Romans 1:25 NIV – They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen.
Romans 1:26 NIV – Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.
Romans 1:27 NIV – In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Romans 1:28 NIV – Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
Romans 1:29 NIV – They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
Romans 1:30 NIV – slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
Romans 1:31 NIV – they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.
Romans 1:32 NIV – Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Revelation 21:8 KJV – But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Why do people love to do evil?

In the Protestant Christian Bible New Testament, Jesus said in

John 10:10 KJV – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

“The thief” Jesus is speaking of is Satan. Satan’s goal, purpose, and desire is to lure people away from God, and tempt them and influence them to do all kinds of evil.

God’s desire is to deliver everyone from Satan’s bondage.

You can be delivered from Satan’s control only by being spiritually born again. Jesus states this fact in the Protestant Christian Bible New Testament:

John 3:3 KJV – Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

To be spiritually born again,
1: you must recognize and admit that you need a Savior
2:believe by faith that Jesus alone is the Savior of the world
3:repent, which is to turn from your old life, and turn to God (the True Triune God, ONE GOD, THE TRINITY OF GOD THE FATHER, JESUS THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, ALL EQUAL IN POWER)
4:In turning to God, you surrender your heart and will to Him, surrender control of your life to Him, and obey the teachings of Jesus, the Apostles, and Evangelists in the Protestant Christian Bible New Testament.

When you have done this with a sincere heart, then God will be YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER, and you can trust Him to help you through the trials of life.

There is pleasure in sin for a season, but eventually the pain and consequences of a sinful life under Satan’s control will exact a toll on your life.
